Recently we reported that club grom Tiago Borges competed in the 2024 Cornish Bodyboard Series. In challenging conditions for all it was still great to see the junior comp go ahead and we are proud to report that Tiago Borges finished in 2nd place at this years Cornish Bodyboard Series grom comp! The 2024 u18 winner went to young Darwin Tagholm who was epic throughout the day.
Well done to all the competitors this year.
Kudos to event organiser Dan Catten & his team of volunteers for getting this comp on in what seemed like the flattest summer ever. A huge thanks also to the companies/sponsors that supported Dan and the event!
Tiago was the Bristol Bodyboarders Clubs first grom member to compete in a UK Competition & we hope to see more as young friendships are forged. Sadly this years Surfing England Nationals didn’t take place due to conditions but we were amped to have a couple of Groms set to enter before its cancellation.
We want to thank Jon at The Pit for his continued support of the youth within the sport.
